Off the field, “T” Association members worked with the student body to create school spirit and pride. The official East Texas “T” was the only letter students could wear on campus. Letters from other colleges or universities were strictly prohibited. No person was permitted to wear a “T” unless the award was presented to them by the Athletic Council. Prior to giving out jackets, “T” Association members were awarded blankets.
